Out of the Darkness Walk, Orlando FL

February 1, 2020 is the annual Out of the Darkness walk here in Orlando, Florida. I know losing someone to suicide is very difficult and I really don’t have the words to express how it feels!

This year I’m super excited to announce I am one of the sponsors for the walk. I’m not sure if I will walk or not because of my own emotions, however, I wanted to spread the word in case someone else who needs help has a resource. If you are in crisis, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or contact the Crisis Text Line by texting TALK to 741741.

Pet Valentine's Day Mini Sessions 2020; Orlando, Florida

I smell LOVE in the air! Valentine’s Day is drawing near!

Let’s celebrate with Valentine’s Day Mini Sessions!

We have teamed up with Rocky’s Retreat Canine Health and Fitness Center in Orlando, FL !  So gather up your pups and hoomans and let’s capture this moment in time!

Here are the details:

WHEN: Sunday, February 9, 2020 for ONE DAY ONLY!!! Sessions are from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

WHERE: Rocky’s Retreat Canine Health and Fitness Center, 2826 Shader Rd, Orlando, FL 32808

WHO: Up to 2 dogs and 2 hoomans. Best for dogs (any age) and kiddos (over age 5)  

HOW LONG IS MY SESSION?: The session is for 15 minutes. However, it can take less time if all goes well! It can be an adventure with dogs and kids! 😊 Our goal is to get 10 great images for you to view!

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?: The Valentine’s Day Mini Sessions are a special price of $75 plus tax!

WHAT ALL IS INCLUDED?: A 15 minute session of fun filled adventure, use of backdrop design, up to 10 edited images to choose from, 2 high resolution images with print release, online gallery for two weeks, up to 2 dogs and 2 people

Images will be available in an online gallery on February 12, 2020. You will get a link sent to you via email!  

CAN I GET MORE THAN 2 DIGITAL IMAGES? Absolutely! Additional images & prints are sold separately!

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF VALENTINE PHOTOS?: Let’s think….why wouldn’t you want to capture your kiddos and furbabies? They are so adorable! You will be able to use these images to make e-cards, share online, make Valentines to give to family and friends! Also, you can create beautiful artwork for you and your family to display in your house to cherish for years to come!

WHAT SHOULD MY KIDDOS or PUP WEAR?: Something which ties into Valentine’s Day! I would keep it simple! A cute simple dress with no logos or patterns and for boys I would suggest jeans and a nice button down. You can accessorize with suspenders, hat, or bow tie. For your pups, I would maybe have a cute bandanna. We have a wood backdrop with hearts running in front of it! Feel free to send me a text of your outfit choice and I’ll do a quick review!

Gluten-free dog friendly locations: Clermont Dog Photographer

I had an awesome time over at the Cheesers Palace in downtown Clermont! The draw to this location was being able to bring Beau! We sat outside and they took care of us right away!

The waitress not only brought us water but also brought Beau a polka dotted bowl and a cup of treats just for him. It was awesome because Beau was able to have some snacks while we enjoyed our dinning experience.

Head shot session: Clermont Head shot Photographer

I've had the opportunity to have a couple of photography sessions with Rachelle and her family. For this particular photography session she was looking for a combination of a portrait for herself and a head shot session.

We had our photo shoot at the Clermont Historic Village Museum. I love the old style homes and it gives a great amount of variety in a small location. Clermont has added a beautiful park called Victory Point adjacent to the historic village making it a perfect location for more backdrops for our session.

Rachelle and I had fun together. She was able to give a variety of looks and feels! She had serious, fun, confident, and other awesome looks. Rachelle brought a light jacket allowing her to change her look quickly and this gave her lots of options to choose from in the reveal session.

Thoughtful thoughts about Thanksgiving!

I have lots of things to be Thankful for in my life! I want to say thank you to all of you who support me and trust me to capture your memories. Another thing I’m thankful for is my awesome petworking group!

While I was at a petworking event last week, I was able to speak with the owner of Rocky’s Retreat Canine Health and Fitness Center for pets about pet safety over the holiday season! Why back up is important!

This summer I have been working on many changes to make my clients experience a better one! I want things to be easy to navigate and clear for you! As I was working through these changes technology decided it had other plans! It wanted to make my life a little more difficult! My external hard drive decided it wanted to fail! Really!?!?...I couldn’t believe it! The great news is I have back up storage! This honestly was the one reason I was able to keep moving forward and not worry! I know by having my work in multiple locations it will keep my work and your images safe!

I’m still working on getting my files back and this will probably be another weeks worth of downloading to get everything set back to how things were before the crash! It gave me a gentle reminder of why if something is important to me I should also have it printed!

In today’s society, we can easily snap a button to take a picture with our phones. What happens when technology fails? Would you be able to retrieve your information? What happens if the file itself decides to corrupt? Backing up your information is a great idea, but ultimately, putting it to print is another way to ensure you don’t lose things which are important to you!
